27 February 2009 – smart news – Limited edition fortwo premiers at Geneva Motor Show

Mercedes-Benz owned smart is to premier its latest limited edition model at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The 79th annual international motor show held in the Swiss town of Geneva is Europe’s biggest motor fair and a significantly important stage for manufacturer’s to showcase their latest models.

Smart’s new limited edition fortwo, which will be known as the limited edition three, will be unveiled to the public for the first time on 5 March.

Available in a choice of coupe or cabriolet body styles, the new smart fortwo limited edition three is finished in an exclusive new colour, Melon Metallic Green. The interior trim is unique to the limited edition model too; with brown cloth seats and a complimenting green, brown and burnt orange stripe that gives it a fresh spring-like feel very apt for the coming season. The brown trim is carried through to the leather steering wheel and gear stick.

The limited edition smart fortwo three features electric windows, air conditioning and a panoramic sunroof with sunblind on the coupe model.

Smart have chosen their 71hp micro-hybrid drive engine for the limited edition model. The clever automatic stop/start system uses up to 29% less fuel consumption, which enables the fortwo to achieve 65.7 mpg on the combined cycle. It also produces ultra-low carbon-dioxide emissions of just 106 grams per kilometer.

Business and personal contract hire customers wishing to find out more about the smart fortwo limited edition three please call 0844 375 3263 for availability and car leasing rates.

The smart limited edition isn’t the only car from Mercedes-Benz to premier at the Geneva show this year. The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe will also come out from under wraps. The car that Mercedes is claiming to be the most aerodynamically efficient production car in the world will no doubt be one of the big stars of the show.

Contract hire customers will have to wait until June for the UK launch of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, before they can get behind the wheel themselves.

If you would like information on contract hire and car leasing rates on a new Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe as soon as they are released, please call 0844 375 3263 and speak to one of our contract hire specialists.
