It was a case of ‘sweet 16’ for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, which Mercedes-Benz helped to ensure was an event to remember for motoring fans including a number of City Vehicle Leasing clients.
Mercedes-Benz had a significant presence at last weekend’s 16th Festival, with the SLS AMG amongst the star attractions. Sir Stirling Moss took to the wheel of the 571hp, 6.3-litre model to drive it up the hill before the sensational coupé took pride of place in the Supercar Paddock.
The motor racing legend wasn’t the only well-known sporting personality in attendance though as Mercedes-GP PETRONAS driver Nico Rosberg and team test driver Nick Heidfeld were also present to sign autographs on the Mercedes-Benz stand.
And there was another SLS AMG on view too in the shape of the 2010 Official F1™ Safety Car, which drew huge interest as did the new Mercedes-Benz CL-Class that made its first UK public appearance at the Festival.
