24 July 2009 Contract Hire News – Mercedes-Benz host annual smart festival
Following the success of smart’s 10th birthday celebration ‘Destination Brooklands’ at Mercedes-Benz World last year, Contract Hire News are delighted to hear that the centre will be hosting an annual event for fans of the much loved iconic micro car.
The activities organised for The smart Festival include a number of competitions for Smart fortwo owners and contract hire customers, including: ‘Best Kept’ and ‘Best Dressed’ categories. Owners can also enter their smart fortwo for ‘Most Modified’.
Over 1,200 people attended last year’s anniversary event and organisers at Mercedes-Benz World are hoping for even larger numbers this year.
The festival is the opportunity to attend one of the biggest gatherings of smart fortwos in Europe. Contract hire customers can expect to see an impressive line-up of customised, modified and original smart fortwos as well as have the opportunity to chat to owners about their shared passion for smart cars.
The current smart fortwo model line-up will also be on display; including the new low Co2 emission fortwo diesel and micro-hybrid drive models. The latest smart in-car accessories will also be on show.
Musician Steve Appleton will be at Mercedes-Benz World for The smart Festival and contract hire customers can enjoy his sets at 12:30, 14:00 and 15:30hrs*
The smart Festival is at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey on Saturday 12th September and visitor entry is free. Contract hire customers will be able to browse a trade exhibition with sellers offering smart related products and services. All the usual activities and attractions at Mercedes-Benz World will be open as usual.
