Contract Hire News – Mercedes-Benz World celebrates 1 million visitors
Mercedes-Benz contract hire drivers may be interested to learn that Mercedes-Benz World recently welcomed its millionth customer since opening three years ago. The milestone was reached on October 24th and the lucky millionth visitor will get to meet Lewis Hamilton and be treated to a fabulous VIP experience at this Saturday's Powered by Mercedes-Benz Live event.
They will be collected from their home in a chauffeur-driven Maybach car and driven to Mercedes-Benz World, where they will meet the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One driver and enjoy an exclusive meal at the fabulous Gullwing restaurant.
Dermot Kelly, Managing Director of Mercedes Benz Cars, is buoyant about the success of the venue. ‘This has been a truly outstanding year and we'd like to thank all of the visitors who have helped us reach our 'one Million' milestone.
‘It's really rewarding to know that one million people have enjoyed our experience...We are now looking forward to 2010 and bringing new events on board to build on our success; not to mention welcoming the next million visitors through our doors.’
Mercedes-Benz World, in Weybridge, Surrey, is the largest automotive brand experience in the UK and offers a wide range of activities for both corporate and leisure visitors. This weekend's Powered by Mercedes-Benz Live event, celebrating the end of the Grand-Prix season, is the first of its kind and will give fans the chance to meet an all star line up of drivers including Lewis Hamilton, Heike Kovalainen, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard. Many other drivers and personalities from the world of motor sport and the media will also be present at Brooklands on what promises to be a spectacular event.
The big events of the day will include Lewis Hamilton driving the MP4-23, which many City Vehicle Leasing customers will know is the car in which he won the 2008 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship.
It won't all be exhibition driving however, there will be chances for Mercedes-Benz contract hire customers to get involved too, thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy, with hot laps in Mercedes' AMGs, Off-Road 4x4 passenger rides and a smart fortwo Egg & Spoon challenge. There will also be the chance to take on the trust-building Blindfold Driving Challenge. And the driving isn't just for adults - children over 1.5 metres tall can participate too.
