Contract Hire News – Mercedes-Benz child safety initiative
Fans of the animated character Roary The Racing Car and his mechanic Big Chris should jump in to their Mercedes contract hire cars this weekend and head to Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey with autograph books and pencils at the ready.
A host of Roary themed activities await visitors young and old including arts and crafts, competitions, a mini racetrack and showings of ‘Roary’ the feature film on the centre’s large screen. The two famous characters will also be on hand to pose for photographs and get involved in the fun.
The special guest appearances have been organised as part of a special weekend to mark the launch of a new Mercedes-Benz backed initiative entitled KinderClass. KinderClass aims to furnish parents and parents-to-be with information and practical skills to keep their children safe when on the move.
Mercedes car leasing customers interesting in attending the KinderClass Open Weekend can find out how to chose the right child seat for a child between 0-12 years, how to fit a child seat correctly and the relevant legislation related to child restraints in cars. Mums-to-be can also learn about driving comfortably and safely whilst pregnant.
All participants in KinderClass will have the opportunity to get some practical driving experience on the centre’s handling circuit, where new skills can be learnt and safe driving techniques can be perfected, alongside a professional driver.

Surrey Fire Service and the Royal Life Saving Society, who both support the initiative, will also at Mercedes-Benz World for the KinderClass Open Weekend. A team of firemen and firewomen will be at the centre with a fire engine and kids will be able to dress up and try their hand at being a real firefighter in a simulated role-play session.
The team will also be giving practical fire safety advice to parents including choosing and fitting smoke detectors in the home and how to make a fire escape plan.
The Royal Life Saving Society will be giving visitors the chance to learn the most valuable skill they could ever have – how to save someone’s life – in their practical workshops on Saturday.
Tiny Treasures, the personalised fingerprint jewellery company will be running hand printing competitions on Saturday, with the winners of the three age categories having their winning pieces of art turned into a charm.
Roary will be at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey for the KinderClass Open Weekend on 30 and 31 May and there will be free Roary goody bags to take home.
