Recently unveiled by the manufacturer, the model concept previews the design, drive, comfort and safety systems that could appear on Mercedes-Benz cars in the years ahead.
Among the highlight features on the 4.75-metre F 800 Style is an all-new multi-drive platform, which would enable a large prestige vehicle to deliver emission-free mobility. This is due to the Mercedes-Benz being suited for electric drives with fuel cells (enabling ranges of almost 375 miles) as well as the use of Plug-in Hybrids that can drive for up to 19 miles solely on electricity, whilst offering sports car performance of 0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds.
The F 800 Style is the 13th research vehicle to be presented by Mercedes-Benz since 1981 – many of which have showcased systems that eventually went into production such as Distronic proximity-controlled cruise control.
