Smart fortwo – bigger and better
The acclaimed Tridion safety cell and practical, recyclable plastic panels are traditional smart, but the slightly longer and wider new model takes on a more masculine appearance with flared wheel arches and a deep front bumper/spoiler arrangement.
These body changes give the new generation smart increased levels of comfort, safety and refinement. By adding 19.5 cms to the length of the vehicle, smart fortwo receives a more spacious and comfortable interior that is the envy of its direct competitors and many standard-size saloons.
Smart fortwo’s luggage compartment can now hold 220 litres – 70 litres more than before – and when loaded to the roof with the passenger seat folded, there is space for up to 340 litres (an extra 80 litres). Punchy, ultra-efficient 999cc engines power the new smart fortwo model with performance and economy once again optimised through a semi-automatic gearbox.
