The 388hp, 8-cylinder Mercedes SL 500 and the V12, 517hp Mercedes SL 600 are still in the line-up, and the all-new Mercedes SL 350 joins them.
The SL350 produces 315hp and the more powerful V6 engine revs to 7,200 rpm, enabling the SL 350 to sprint from 0-62mph in just 6.2 seconds – making it 0.4 seconds faster than the out-going model.
Making the driving dynamics of the Mercedes SL-Class better still is the optional Direct Steer. This newly developed system provides variable steering assistance, of benefit in many different driving situations. It enables you to negotiate fast sequences of bends with relatively small steering movement and make light work of curb-parking between other vehicles.
New interior additions include a three-spoke leather steering wheel and redesigned instrument cluster, an upgraded COMAND system and the fitment of LINGUATRONIC as standard. The AIRSCARF neck-level heating system is available as an option for the first time too.
